「Tokyo Typo Store」は漢字が本来持つ意味や由来を再認識、

再定義し、グラフィックやイラストレーションなどの表現を用いて、

さらにエモーショナルな形にデザインしていくプロジェクトです。

 

"Tokyo Typo Store" project re-examines and redefines meanings and origins of

Japanese kanji characters, and through graphics and illustrations further convey

emotion and design.

こだわり抜いた日本の縫製技術

 

東京タイポストアのTシャツのボディは生地の編み方からオリジナルで作成しております。綿糸には10番単糸15番、20番、30番単糸等色々ありますが、40番双糸天竺と言えばTシャツ素材ではハイクオリティーです。

東京タイポストアのTシャツは糸の中でも高級なその40番糸を何度も何度も試編、吟味したオリジナル40番コーマ糸を双糸加工し天竺編みした斜行の全く無い天竺生地によってつくられた純国産Ｔシャツです。

形は、セットインスリーブ、衿は30/コーマフライス生地で４重、衿元２本針使用、それぞれのディテールを丁寧に縫製しました。洗濯後の型くずれも少ないのが特徴です。

The t-shirts sold in the Tokyo Typo Store are completely original, designed down to

the weave of the fabric. The yarns used vary from 10, 15, 20, and 30 gauge. 40 gauge double-twist cotton is a very high quality material for a t-shirt. At the Tokyo

Typo Store, the t-shir ts have been specifically selected for use with 40 gauge

yarn.

After repeated trial and error, we arrived at a unique 40 gauge combed yarn with no unwanted twist in the rib.

This is a genuine, bona fide, made in Japan t-shirt. The sleeves are set in, and the neck uses 4-ply 30 gauge combed fleece.

The neckline features twin-needle stitching.

Every detail has been accounted for.

Another feature of this t-shirt is that it willretain its shape after washing.
